The final episode of Arrow may have a Green Lantern tease for David Ramsey's John Diggle character. The Arrow Finale Will Feature A Green Lantern Tease For John Diggle

The “John Diggle is Green Lantern John Stewart” theory regarding David Ramsey‘s Arrow character began a few years ago and finally got some support in the 2018 Elseworlds crossover, when John Wesley Shipp’s Flash asked John where his ring was. It was further solidified later in Season 7 when we met John’s stepfather who was curiously given the last name Stewart, implying that on some Earth, Diggle had taken his stepfather’s name.

Now, in an interview with TVLine, David Ramsey has revealed that the whole Green Lantern thing will be addressed in the Arrow series finale.

“Without a doubt. You are absolutely going to get your answers. And well-deserved answers,” he said. “We’ve been talking about this for years, and I think everyone by series’ end will be very happy.”

Early rumors about the series finale hint that a ring box may “fall from the sky” and in John’s direction, though we cannot verify this. Also, the Arrow series finale is not the last time we will ever see David Ramsey in character — he is also in the February 4 episode of The Flash.

A Green Lantern TV series is in development for HBO Max from Arrow superproducer Greg Berlanti, and while details are scarce, Ramsey also had a few things to say about that pending project, which we presume will not feature David Ramsey as John Stewart.
