The CW has announced two new series pickups — Kung Fu and The Republic of Sarah which are picked up in addition to Superman & Lois and a Walker Texas Ranger reboot starring Jared Padalecki — but one project a lot of fans were curious about will have to wait.

With the announcements, it came out that decisions on Green Arrow and the Canaries as well as a spinoff of The 100 which will also air as a part of that respective series’ final season are to come at a later date. So much for that “insider” that said a Vancouver production office was already set up, eh?

Should Green Arrow and the Canaries not happen, Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy, and Juliana Harkavy are all very talented women that The CW will surely want to continue to be in business with. And as part of the Arrowverse — no one’s ever completely gone.

We will continue to offer updates on Canaries if and when they become available.
