When Arrow Season 5 concludes in May, things are going to take a slightly different path than previous season finales have done.

“We’re not going to destroy the city,” Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim told EW.com. “We’re not even going to threaten the city. In fact, I can also tell you the finale doesn’t even take place in the city. Finally, the citizens of Star City can breathe easily in May.”

Stephen Amell told us here at GreenArrowTV that “we basically have to shoot the entire thing on location,” which could be very interesting. Guggenheim also revealed to EW that “a good number of returning characters” including some that we have not seen in a while will be in the episode.

Does Thea count? We kid. Though if one of those returning characters is Slade, we will be very, very happy. Maybe we’ll see some other inhabitants of Lian Yu from Season 1, or a flashback to what was happening in Starling City right before Oliver’s return?

Arrow airs new episodes Wednesdays at 8PM on The CW.
