Do you hope Thea appears in more episodes next year?
CRAIG: A very strong yes on that one. Stephen Amell’s scenes with Willa Holland are among the best of the series, as is that family aspect between the two of them. I also want to see more of her dealing with Malcolm’s death, which is probably something I should put in air quotes because he is the Magician, after all.
MELISSA: I love Thea and Willa Holland’s portrayal, but behind the scenes decisions sometimes get in the way of television. I’m trying to keep my expectations in check even though I do think there is a lot more story left for Thea to tell either as Speedy or filling in some of the vacuum left when the show lost Moira. Oliver objected to Thea’s Moira-ness coming out, but I very much enjoyed a glimpse at her craftier side.
STEPHANIE: Yes, if she’s actually utilized and not just there to be there. Thea has gone from party girl to blood luster to accomplished vigilante to Chief of Staff, so I’m not sure where she goes from here. Maybe she can join the SCPD and warn people to stop using the police station’s back entrance. Nothing good ever happens in that alley!
MATT: You can see my earlier point. I just don’t think they have any idea what to do with Thea. Unless they come up with something good, I would not be bothered by them writing her out of the show.
