Sadly, Arrow Is Not A New Episode Tonight

The perils of a 23-episode TV season: Sadly, Arrow will not have a new episode tonight (March 8) but the show will be back March 15 with a new installment called “Checkmate.” You can see photos from that episode here.

Why the repeat? There are 52 weeks a year, and only 23 episodes per show… if 23 episodes aired back to back we’d end up with 29 episode streaks of no episodes at all. That’s something like 7 months!

Instead of a new episode, tonight will bring a repeat of the episode “Second Chances.”
