Ah, the “Olicity baby.”

There are members of the Arrow fandom who really want Oliver and Felicity to have a child together, who insist that we’re idiots for believing Stephen Amell that it’s not happening in Season 7, and then there are others, who think a baby would seriously take away from what the show is supposed to be.

TVGuide.com’s Lindsay McDonald asked Emily Bett Rickards what she thinks in a recent interview.

“I don’t know if I would be interested in exploring that storyline right now with Felicity,” Emily said. “I feel like she deserves a little something more than that, and I don’t want that to be taken the wrong way. I’d just be interested in seeing her, I don’t know, like, deal with a villain face-to-face for a consistent number of episodes?”

TVGuide.com did also ask if Smoak Technologies may be a part of Felicity’s future.

“Because it’s been teased in a future world in one of our universes, it’s definitely a possibility,” Emily told them. “But it also is one of those things where we don’t have to do it. I think it would be extremely enjoyable to see what’s next there.”

Like is Helix Dynamics going to spur Smoak Tech? What are they going to do with it? What would be their goal, what would be their journey, what would be their purpose? I think that would be an interesting conversation, and it’s what Curtis (Echo Kellum) and Felicity are sort of trying to do with Helix Dynamics,” she continued.

Arrow returns this Fall in its new time slot of Mondays at 9PM ET/PT.

No it hasn’t. The only future kid mentioned was in Diggle having a son. Still no idea why they thought he should come about due to Flashpoint, instead of John Jr being Sara Diggle’s brother.

That’s actually referring to Smoak Technologies. 🙂

And that was a Dominator created reality, where Oliver was marrying Laurel, Tommy was a doctor in Chicago, and Robert and Moira were alive too.

I think we also saw the Smoak Technologies building in the Legends of Tomorrow episode you originally referenced, too.

Felicity building her company is something I think a lot of us expected to see more of in Season 6 so here’s hoping for S7.

I’m happy if there’s an Olicity baby eventually but I also wouldn’t be upset if it doesn’t happen or we only see their baby in a flashforward at the very end of the show. It’s not something I need but it would also be cute to see too. LOL. I don’t mind either way. Obviously it depends how they handle it and I would never want to see Felicity saddled and sidelined with their baby. That would be so unfair. I guess time will tell if it happens or not!

Yeah, that’s the thing: I don’t want a baby messing with things in the present day, but in a flashforward or the final episode, I’d be totally okay with it.

After seeing some guys talk about the kids meeting on a messageboard i frequent, I wouldnt mind seeing a LoT sequel to Star City 2046 involving future hero versions of WIlliam, Zoe, Baby John, Baby Ronnie and Joe & Cecile’s baby.

They don’t need to have an Olicity baby, for one with the Flash we’ll already be getting baby dram with Joe and Cecile, plus if it is as speculated, that Nora changed time by saving Barry, Iris would already be pregnant for season 5.
For another Felicity doesn’t need to have a baby, she’s already a step mother to William
