AR301b_0074bTV Line caught up with Stephen Amell prior to this year’s Upfronts presentation for The CW, and the first question he was asked by interviewer Matt Mitovich is if we’ll see “happily ever after” for Oliver and Felicity after the conclusion of Season 3.

“I think that’s the plan,” Stephen said. “And as we know, on our show, nothing bad ever happens when people are super happy.”

Oliver and Felicity riding off into the sunset was always the plan for the end of Season 3. “I knew that that’s how it was going to end last year at this time,” Stephen said. “They had a real plan this year. I didn’t know that I was going to die in the middle of the season, but I knew that that was the plan. I think it’s a real cool opportunity for our show to transition towards something else.”

7719At this point, Stephen doesn’t know a lot about what’s coming in Season 4 – but he does know about the flashback story. He also dropped some interesting names and concepts into the interview: H.I.V.E., Damien Dark, and Coast City. That last one might be a big deal since a certain Green Lantern named Hal Jordan lives there. Stephen also implied that the Arrow persona is indeed gone for good. “Roy outed himself as The Arrow, so if I were to re-create the suit and go out, it would undo all of the sacrifice that he made. So the Arrow persona, for better or for worse, it can’t exist anymore.”

Mitovich asked Stephen if the addition to “Green” to the Arrow code name would do the trick. “I mean, would that do it? We’ll see,” he said.
