Could Felicity be taking on a new role in Arrow Season 5? Marc Guggenheim Promises “Big Things” For Felicity In Arrow Season 5

felicityballIn this week’s “Spoiler Room” at EW.com, a fan named Itakha asked the magazine’s Natalie Abrams about the recent training that Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity) has been doing, and whether or not that means the character will be involved in more action scenes in Arrow Season 5.

The column answers that Felicity will first be dealing with the fallout from what happened in Havenrock. “In the first five episodes, we face head-on the decision that Felicity made. We are most definitely not ignoring it,” Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim told EW.

After that, Guggenheim does what EW describes as cryptically teasing what could be Felicity jumping in on the action. “We’re positioning her to do something in the second half of the year that is really, really key, and that isn’t about her relationship with Oliver or even necessarily her father or her mother. It’s really new territory for her, and we’ve very excited about it. Some big things are going to happen with Felicity,” he promised.
