The ScientistThe initial overnight ratings for December 11 are now in, and Arrow again achieved over 3 million viewers: 3.04 million, to be exact, and a 1.1/3 in the key demographic.

Hopefully we’ll get news of it going up even higher later today. Still very impressive numbers for the middle of December — well deserved for a very good episode. Hopefully these numbers will also help The Flash when the time comes to pick their 2014 schedule… to be sure that the Flash spin-off lands on it.

UPDATE: Good news: “Three Ghosts” hit a series high in the Males 18-34 demographic, ranking #1 in the hour and giving The CW their best Males 18-34 rating since Smallville in 2010! Here is the relevant info:

Last night’s midseason finale of Arrow hit a series high in M18-34 (1.6/6), ranking #1 in the hour. Arrow delivered The CW’s best M18-34 rating for any show in more than three years (Smallville on 10/29/10). It’s the network’s best performance in M18-34 in the Wednesday 8-9 pm time period in more than five years (10/29/08).

Arrow also matched its second highest rating ever in A18-34 (1.1/4), and tied its second best number of the season in A18-49 (1.1/3). Arrow was up 10% from last year’s midseason finale in both A18-34 and A18-49, and was virtually on par with last week’s rating in both demos.

Arrow also tied both Fox and ABC at 8pm in A18-34.
