Arrow: Did Colton Haynes Just Leave The Series? Arrow: Did Colton Haynes Just Leave The Series?
Broken Arrow may be Colton Haynes' last episode of Arrow. Arrow: Did Colton Haynes Just Leave The Series?

CWN1577_Singles_ArsonalAs we saw in tonight’s episode of Arrow, Roy Harper appeared to be fatally stabbed.

Before the episode aired, some people thought Roy might be okay going in, considering he was in the new “Superhero Fight Club” promotional imagery… but now, unless there’s some kind of a save later in the season, it appears he’s gone.

Colton Haynes first joined Arrow as a guest star in Season 1 and was quickly made a series regular for Season 2.

UPDATE: ROY’S ALIVE!!!!!!! WOO-HOO! Now, Colton Haynes’ future on the series still needs to be discussed or discovered by us as fans, as Roy has just headed out of town, but we are so relieved at the moment. People have left town and even “died” on Arrow before and returned rather quickly, so we can hold out hope. And hey: If the Arrow is ever cleared in Starling City, it’d be safe for Roy to come back, right?

ANOTHER UPDATE: Colton Haynes has left the show as a series regular. “When we made Colton’s deal, he was coming off of Teen Wolf where he was beloved, and he had a lot of opportunities,” Greg Berlanti told BuzzFeed. “So we did a trial thing where we said, for his sake and ours, ‘We’ll just do a bunch of episodes and see if you like it and if you enjoy it.’ And he did. Then pilot season came up that year and before another pilot could snatch him up, we made a two-year deal, so we always knew we were on a clock.” You can read the BuzzFeed interview confirming this news here. BuzzFeed has noted that Colton will be back for one more episode in Season 3 and he could always show up on one of the other WB/DC shows that are in development or already existing. “He is gone but definitely not forever,” Marc Guggenheim told Deadline, adding that he hopes he will continue to be a part of the universe that they are building.
