WARNING: Spoilers for the Arrow episode “Deathstroke Returns” are being discussed within.

In the November 9 episode of Arrow, Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy)’s former partner Vincent Sobel was revealed as the Vigilante, given healing abilities at the same time Dinah got her sonic scream. Of course, this new revelation – especially the notion that she let Sobel go – is a secret that Dinah is now keeping from the team.

Recently, GreenArrowTV was part of a group of journalists to visit the Vancouver set of Arrow, and Juliana Harkavy was asked about what this revelation means for Dinah in the future.

“Well, it’s definitely been a little bit of a glitch in her path, because now, not only is she dealing with her past but she also has her own little secret that she has to decide whether she’s going to keep from the team, so it definitely throws a wrench in her life and game plan,” she said.

When did the actress find out?

“I think it was around episode 3 that James Bamford came and told me, ‘Okay, this is what’s happening’,” she recalled. “It was a shock, but it seemed to fit, and I could make it work in my wheelhouse of what is real for Dinah, so I was excited about it. I love the storyline.”

And will Dinah keep this secret from the team for long?

“I don’t think it’s really in her nature to keep it for long, but she’s going to keep it as long as she feels that she is protecting herself, and I think the team to some extent, and she wants to figure out really what’s going on before she says anything certainly, so I hope not too long, but she’s going to take her time with it for a second,” Harkavy answered.
