The GreenArrowTV team talks about Season 6 so far in a roundtable discussion. Team GATV Roundtable: Talking Arrow Season 6 So Far

How does it stack up against other seasons of the series?

MELISSA: It’s too early to compare whole seasons yet, but I suspect season 6 will end up sitting high in my overall ranks. Having that watchable quality on repeat viewings gives it a big boost. Not everything was improved on a second viewing, but much was.

Season 2A had a series of more dynamic episodes both in terms of character development and plot movement versus this season’s slower unfolding plot and careful character and relationship exploration, but yeah, I have to go back to the second season to match my enjoyment and optimism for the rest of the upcoming episodes.

MATT: I’d put it ahead of Seasons 3 and 4, but behind Seasons 2, 5, and 1. So middle of the road.

STEPHANIE: Season six is behind seasons one and two, and somewhere on par with seasons three, four, and five, only because it doesn’t have flashbacks working against it. Seasons four and five had such strong villains, and unfortunately, that hasn’t been apparent in season six yet. I really need to rewatch the series from the start in order to give a more concrete ranking.

CRAIG: Based upon the first nine episodes, I’d put it fourth, behind 1, 2, and 5 (listed in no given order). Then again, Season 4 particularly had a pretty strong start to the season, with a string of episodes including the Constantine story “Haunted,” so it might even come in at fifth for me.
