On Arrow’s Last Day Of Filming, Guggenheim Returns To The Beginning

Today, November 13, 2019 is a historic one in the history of the Arrow television series: It is the last day of filming for the series which began shooting its pilot over seven years ago. Around 170 episodes in, the journey comes to an end.

To tie in with the last day of filming, Marc Guggenheim shared the original pitch notes for Arrow from late 2011. Called The Hunter (no relation to Fred Dryer or Onalee Hunter Hughes), the series that became Arrow was quite different. For one, Oliver sounded a lot less camera-ready when he was found on that island. Star City is “Starkton City.” Thea is “Thia.” Quentin is a dirty cop. And while Diggle and Felicity aren’t mentioned, Oliver’s tech genius is… Stanley Dover?!!?! Further pages are not included so we do not yet know how different Laurel or Tommy may have been.
