A supporting character in the Arrow pilot has an almost-familiar name... Look Out, Green Arrow: Here Comes Danielle DiDio

One of the characters in the Green Arrow pilot Arrow, at least at this moment, is named after DC Comics exec Dan DiDio, just with a bit of a gender change.

“Danielle DiDio” is a woman who has been wronged by the pilot villain, Adam Hunt, and she goes to Laurel Lance and her “CNRI” agency because she couldn’t get help anywhere else. Thanks to Adam Hunt, she has lost a lot that she and her family had saved over the years.

This might not be the only DiDio-esque shoutout in the pilot… in at least one draft there’s a reference to a bank account numbered “52.”

Anyhow, the role of Ms. DiDio has been cast, and she’ll be played by… Dan DiDio. Just kidding. Actually, the actress cast for the role is Nneka Croal, whose credits include The 4400 and a movie called The Hard Corps.

With the pilot shooting in a few weeks, what supporting cast members might we find out about next? Stay tuned…
