Two fan favorites will be returning in Arrow Season 8. Colin Donnell & Josh Segarra To Return In Arrow’s Final Season

A final season of any TV series usually includes returns of beloved characters and actors — and today, Entertainment Weekly confirmed two that we’ll be seeing in Arrow Season 8.

Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn) and Josh Segarra (Adrian Chase) are both on deck for final season appearances, EW has revealed… but it might not be the versions of the characters that we have seen before.

“Adrian Chase comes back in a different way than expected,” Beth Schwartz told EW in an exclusive interview. “We’re really excited about that because obviously he’s one of our favorite villains.” Meanwhile, Marc Guggenheim says that Colin Donnell is “not coming back as the Tommy we know.”

Could the season premiere title “Starling City” imply that what we will be seeing is not even the Earth we know, as an early precursor to Crisis on Infinite Earths? That could explain the other Tommy and Adrian Chase. We have a feeling we’ll find out more at Comic-Con next week, when we should also be getting our first Arrow Season 8 trailer!
