Overnight ratings report for the Arrow episode "Shifting Allegiances" Arrow “Shifting Allegiances” Overnight Ratings Report

The NFL Draft had ratings down across the board for April 26 with even The Big Bang Theory and Supernatural suffering declines. Arrow was hit possibly the hardest, however, with only an 0.3 rating in Ages 18-49 and 910,000 viewers.

(The evening release of the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War may have kept people away from the TV as well.)

Needless to say, final numbers for “Shifting Allegiances” will certainly go up when DVR and other things are factored in, but those are some of the lowest initial overnights we’ve seen for a first-run episode of the show.

What did you think of the episode? Come talk about it on our Arrow discussion forum!

Fans are tired of the dreck they’re writing. They had two big villians this season and so far have wasted both of them. Felicity gets more screen time than the villians and more than Oliver. That’s why nobody is watching anymore. Felicity and olicity killed Arrow.

Whoever decided give it another season needs their head examined. Unless Felicity and olicity are gone when next season starts, Arrow will be lucky to have 500k viewers for the first episode.

Tina , I’m a little confused about your post How do you know Felicity get more air time the Villians and Stephen if your not watching? And I guess you have worked in TV in order to make some comments on which show should be renewed or not. If not then if you don’t like Arrow , just stop watching it ,its as simple as that . Stop the HATE already ,take negative comments some where else or grow up -its a TV show ,you have control of what you like . don’t try to convince other that your opinion is the right one , especially if your not even watching the show you protest to dislike
so much. And as far as the network renewing Arrow I guess they know better than we do they are the professional right But I’m sure you’ll be right there when season 7 starts in order to make your complains again ,so be that 501k viewer , good luck with that Kid

I can only think of one episode this season where Felicity had more screen time than Oliver, and that was that Dragon episode. Last week, I don’t think she even had any lines. A lot of her fans have felt shorted by no follow-through on her storyline to build her own company; seeing that as a side story surely would not get in the way of Oliver saving his city, so why not?

I know people are quick to blame “ships” and pairings and that sort of thing for ratings declines, but I still think that has very little to do with it.

Personally speaking, I think if Arrow has any flaws this year it’s that we got spoiled by Adrian Chase as villain last year, but also, the fandom just doesn’t have the emotional connection to “New Team Arrow” that we have for the original characters, so it becomes hard to be sympathetic to them.
