Diggle This: John’s Costume Debuts! (UPDATED) Diggle This: John’s Costume Debuts! (UPDATED)
The backbone of Team Arrow finally suits up. Diggle This: John’s Costume Debuts! (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Here’s a comparison of Diggle’s new suit to the concept art that was revealed at this year’s Comic-Con. It would appear that they had to rethink the visor portion, which is why the face guards were extended. Or perhaps, the visor is still there and the face guards might close to seal off Dig’s face completely. We await the season premiere to find out.

Diggle Suit: Concept vs. Practical

Original article follows.

There was a sneak peak at John Diggle’s new threads at Comic-Con, but the CW today released official character photo art of the new costume he’ll be sporting this season.

Following Oliver’s advice from the Season 3 finale, Diggle has taken to hiding his identity from the general public in Team [Ex]-Arrow’s continuing mission to protect the newly rechristened Star City in Oliver’s “retirement.” Dig’s ubiquitous leather jacket stays on, but now he’s got a Spartan-inspired helmet to mask his face.

If we’re being honest, the helmet is going to be a bit of an acquired taste, but costumed Diggle is all sorts of fun either way. Although, Diggle would be the last to call it a costume.

Now, one main mystery remains of Diggle’s hero journey in Season 4. He joked at being called “Black Driver” and was known as “Freelancer” while with the Suicide Squad, but what will Diggle’s codename be?

What do you think of the new tactical duds?
